MC-18 Woody Mann is a model from the Custom Artist series made by Martin Guitars. M-sized models are similar in size and function to Taylor`s grand auditorium, both are positioned between the orchestra model and dreadnought and are supposed to offer the comfort of the orchestra with tone and projection of the dreadnought. MC-18 Woody Mann excels in both tasks. It comes with a full-sized body made of solid mahogany back and sides with solid spruce sound board. On the inside of the body Martin installs spruce bracing for enhanced projection. Neck on this model is made of hardwood, it is V-contoured and equipped with dovetail joint. Ebony is used for a belly-contoured bridge and 20-fret fingerboard. Waverly tuning machines on this model are plated in nickel.
