M-30 Jorma Kaukonen model is situated within the Custom Artist series of the Martin Guitars catalog. It is an M-sized guitar, or as it is otherwise known, 0000 guitar. It features a non-cutaway body made of solid rosewood back and sides with solid spruce sound board on top. This combination is one of the most popular among the steel-string players for it`s deep, strong and complex tone. Spruce bracing installed on this model gives better projection. On the outside, body is equipped with ivoroid binding, tortoise shell pickguard and multiple rosette. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it sports the standard V contour in the back. It`s topped with a regular 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Bridge is also made of ebony.
