HD-28 (2018) is a brand new iteration of a hugely popular HD-28 model from the Standard series. Classic body shape, top-shelf tonewoods, supreme build quality, and genuine Martin tone carry on the torch into 2018. The list price is set at $3,799.00 which is pretty affordable for a Martin Standard. Main features include a full-sized D-28 body (non-cutaway), low oval-shaped neck w/14th fret dovetail joint, vintage decorations, scalloped (forward-shifted) X-bracing, and 25-2/5" scale. No electronics are available for the new HD-28. Also, the Natural Gloss color scheme has no alternative. Other notable features include East Indian rosewood back/sides, Sitka spruce top, select hardwood neck, 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony, solid ebony bridge, and open-gear tuners.
