D-28 P is part of a Standard Series in Martin Guitars catalog. The models of the series are equipped with solid tonewoods, polished gloss finishes and hand fitted dovetail joints. D-28 P is a non-cutaway dreadnought model with a body made of solid sitka spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides. This model features a natural gloss finish and a flat top adorned with white boltaron binding and 28 style multiple rosette. The neck is made of hardwood with artist contour and a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 1.75" wide bone nut. The scale is 25-1/2" long and the fingerboard radius measures at 16 inches. The bridge is also made of solid ebony. The list price is set at $2,999.
