D-28 Dan Tyminski belongs to the high class Custom Artist series of steel-stringed acoustics, which is made by Martin Guitars. This series is comprised of supremely luxurious and quality guitars with all-solid wood construction, as well as numerous other top-class appointments. D-28 is comes as a non-cutaway dreadnought made of rosewood, spruce, hardwood and ebony. Rosewood is used for the back and side panels of the body. On top of the body Martin installs a sound board made of solid spruce. Ebony is used for the belly-contoured bridge and 20-fret fingerboard. Neck is the only major part of this model that is made of hardwood. It sports V contour in the back. Waverly tuners are plated in nickel and bone nut is 1-11/16" wide.
