Mahogany is a fantastic all-round tone wood. It is good for back and sides on the body, as well as for the neck. It offers deep, powerful and warm tone and it`s the most popular material for single-tone wood acoustics. D-15M is a model from the 15 series made by Martin Guitars. It comes as a non-cutaway dreadnought with fully acoustic construction. Entire body of this dreadnought is made of mahogany. Inside bracing is also made of it. On the outside, this model is decorated with black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and single circle rosette. This model is available in natural color with satin finish. Neck is also made of mahogany and it`s topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Bridge is made of rosewood, as well.
