Luna Guitars have infused their catalog with numerous novelties for 2012 and six of those come from the Oracle series. Four new Oracles belong to the grand concert section of the series. These Oracles were, along with other Luna Guitars new models. unveiled at the NAMM Show this January in Anaheim, Ca. Oracle Butterfly starts off as a grand concert cutaway model made of mahogany back and sides and spruce top. The top is adorned with a majestic depiction of a butterfly as it lands down on the flower. The inlay is done in koa, quilted maple and dyed maple. The butterfly was chosen as the theme of this guitar as it represents the transformation, potential and resurrection. To further enhance the effect of the inlay, top is finished in gloss, while the back and sides feature satin finish. The bridge on this model is made of ebony with a familiar Oracle shape, black string pins and black saddle. B-band pickup and preamp with side-mounted control panel take care of the amplification. The neck is made of mahogany and it meets the body at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets, moon phase inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware wrap the specs for this butterfly.
