In recent years the Jr or so-called baby models have become very popular. These travel-sized six-stringers have spread throughout the market like wildfire and are here to stay. Ibanez`s 2018 catalog brings only one such model - the affordable and electronics-free AW54JR. The dreadnought-shaped junior comes in with a beveled top, short 23.9" scale, and Artwood series` characteristic styling. Open Pore Natural (w/open pore finish, chrome-plated hardware, black plastics) is the only available color option. AW54JR`s core construction features include back & sides made of laminated mahogany, a solid mahogany top (w/black binding, tortoise pickguard), a mahogany neck (soft V shape, 14th fret joint, satin finish), an ovangkol fingerboard (20 frets, dot inlays, 1.69" nut), an ovangkol bridge, and open-gear tuning machines.
