AVD9 is part of Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged`s 2017 lineup. It is a reissue-of-sorts of the last year`s model of the same name (the same goes for the majority of Thermo Aged models introduced at 2017 NAMM). Nonetheless, it is one of three tier 10 models in the lineup. AVD9 (2017) starts off with a non-cutaway dreadnought body with 20" length, 15-3/4" width and 5" depth. Back and sides are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce (top is Thermo Aged). V-shaped mahogany neck and 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on its top complete this affordable steel-string dread. Other important features include a fixed rosewood bridge (with Advantage bridge pins), open-geared tuning machines and bone-made nut and saddle.
