Thermo Aged series is the latest major development in Artwood series` Vintage department. Thermo aging is, in fact, Ibanez`s name for high-temperature wood aging (torrefaction). Thermo Aged`s series models are divided into two divisions, where "10" models have entire bodies made of aged wood and "9" models with only tops made of aged wood. AVC9 is one of four representatives of the lower "9" tier. It sports a flat grand concert body (made of mahogany back, sides and top). Open Pore Natural (with black binding, chrome hardware and tortoise shell pickguard) is the only available color option. V-shaped mahogany neck (with 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top) completes this outstanding GC. AVC9 also features a fixed rosewood bridge (with bone saddle and Advantage bridge pins), open-geared chrome tuners and bone string nut.
