Hofner`s HC 503 is a classic acoustic model found in the Carmencita series of nylon stringed guitars. This particular model is the intermediate option of it`s series with 502 being ranked below and 504 above this particular guitar. HC 503 comes with non-cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with cedar sound board on top. This body is combined with mahogany-made neck. Dovetail joint set at the 12th fret connects these two. Neck is equipped with a standard classical back contour and is finished in gloss. Body is also finished in gloss and top panel also features multi-ply binding in combination with classical rosette. Bridge section on this model is a standard one, as it is equipped with a regular-shaped bridge made of rosewood. 19-fret fingerboard is also made of rosewood.
