Orpheum series is the first line of acoustic guitars in the Custom Shop division by Guild Guitars. Besides this one, there`s also American Patriarch series of electrics and a limited all-koa model named 60th Anniversary Custom Shop. The role of the Orpheum series is to offer more quality and better tone than regular Guild catalog. These models do cost more, but they are worth every cent invested in them. Slope Shoulder 14-Fret Rosewood Dreadnought is one of three slope-shoulder dreads in this series. It features a non-cutaway body with a dovetail neck joint. It is made of rosewood back and sides with a red spruce sound board on top. Luxurious body is paired with a three piece neck. Multi-ply binding and tortoise shell pickguard decorate the top. Natural color is the only option in the palette and it`s finished in high gloss. Bridge is made of ebony and it rocks standard Guild contour. It`s equipped with a bone saddle. There are no electronics options available. three piece neck is made of mahogany and walnut and it`s topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Dot inlays and 12" radius complete it. Gold-plated tuners and 25-1/2" scale complete the list of appointments for this model. The MSRP is set at $4,999.
