Guild is one of the premier manufacturers of acoustic guitars from the United States, featuring a vast catalog which stretches from the affordable models to the newly introduced, top class Custom Shop. GAD series is probably at the crossroads of the catalog, as it offers the solid tone woods and quality of the upscale models and the affordability of the budget-friendly segment. For 2013 GAD series is updated with four all-mahogany models and M-120E is one of them. Back, sides and top are all made of solid mahogany and paired with a mahogany neck. Since the GAD series has a very special position and has some specific goals it must deliver, Guild opted to cut out the flashy and fancy appointments with more decorative, than practical function. Thus, the only decorations on the body are black binding, black pickguard and discreet rosette. Bridge is a standard one, it`s belly contoured and made of rosewood. It features a NuBone saddle on the top. Fishman supplies the electronics for M-120E. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a dovetail joint and it`s topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. The MSRP for this model is set at $914.99.
