The Oregon series is one of the latest additions to Breedlove`s catalog. It was named after the brand`s home state and focused on locally sourced tonewoods. Myrtlewood, a wood found along Oregon`s ocean coast, is the main material of the Oregon series. As a tonewood, it offers a superbly balanced tone and a rich, beautiful grain. Oregon Concerto E comes in with a non-cutaway concerto body, made entirely of myrtlewood. It also has the series` standard LR Baggs EAS VTC electronics, with soundhole-mounted controls. Breedlove sells it only in natural color, with gloss finish, nickel-plated hardware, and black binding. Other important features include a hard rock maple neck w/14th fret bolt-on neck joint, a 20-fret fingerboard made of African ebony, fixed African ebony bridge, and Breedlove tuners.
