Discovery series is Breedlove`s most affordable one. It is focused on beginners and players who want an affordable guitar for campfire performances or practice. The current lineup consists of concert and dreadnought models only, with concerts claiming the majority. All Discovery series models are made in China and controlled in Bend Oregon. Discovery Concert CE comes in with a single-cut body, 25-1/2" scale, Fishman electronics (pickup/preamp combo), and a versatile tone. Main construction features include laminated okume back & sides, solid sapele soundboard, 14th fret dovetail neck joint, and stock hardware. Breedlove sells Discovery Concert CE only in Natural Gloss finish. Other notable features include a solid okume neck, a 20-fret fingerboard made of ovangkol (1-11/16" nut, dot inlays), ovangkol bridge, and closed-gear tuners.
