Alvarez is launching a line of four acoustic guitars to celebrate five decades in the business. What started out as a simple line of innovative and affordable acoustic six-stringers, grew into an important brand on the US market. The gorgeous APA 1965 is one of the four models, and it is the only one with a parlor-shaped body. Back and sides are made of acacia, while the top is made of spruce (this is a uniform tonewood combo for the 1965 line). Abalone-bound top is fit with a classic Alvarez bridge made of rosewood, but underneath it, there are no electronics installed. The neck is made of mahogany, and it`s fit with a nice, rounded profile in the back. Rosewood fingerboard on its top is fit with a 21 frets, 12th fret custom inlay and a 1-3/4" wide bone nut.
