NTX1200R is the flagship of Yamaha`s NTX series of classic acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. It comes with a concert body with a single cutaway construction. It`s back and sides are made of rosewood and the top is made of spruce. The top on this model is bound in natural binding and decorated with a red sound hole rosette. The bridge is made of rosewood and it comes with a modified classic shape. In the electronics area Yamaha installs an under-saddle piezo pickup and a side-mounted preamp which are adjusted to the needs of a nylon-stringed guitar. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a dovetail joint. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 20 frets with no inlays.
