CPX500FM is a part of Yamaha`s CPX series and it comes with a jumbo shaped body with a single cutaway design. Back and sides on this model are made of mahogany, while the top is made of flamed maple. Sound board features ivoroid binding and triple circle rosette around the central sound hole. This model is located around the $600 of manufacturer suggested retail price and it features laminated wood construction. Yamaha installs a bridge made of rosewood which features their characteristic variant of the belly shape. Electronics department does not exist on this model, as Yamaha intended this model for acoustic play only. Neck is made of rosewood and it features a standard 14th fret dovetail joint. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and 1-11/16" wide synthetic bone nut.
