Nuno Bettencourt has achieved world-wide fame with hard rock outfit Extreme in the late 1980s and early 1990s and has proven himself to be one of the most influential guitar players of the modern era. He is also known for his love for Washburn acoustic guitars. Nuno has Played both electric and acoustic Washburns throughout his career and even has an electric guitar signature series with Washburn. For NAMM 2013 Washburn unveils Nuno`s signature acoustic. It is Festival series jumbo guitar named EA20SNB. It features shallow body with Florentine cutaway and dovetail joint. It`s made of rosewood back and sides and solid spruce sound board. Multi-ply binding, Mourning Widow rosette and high gloss finish decorate the body. Bridge is made of rosewood and features bone saddle with white string pins. Fishman`s Isys+301T system is installe in the electronics department. Preamp is mounted on the side of the body. Neck is made of mahogany and it`s finished in satin. 21-fret fingerboard on it`s upper side is made of rosewood and it features a custom 12th fret inlay.
