Walden Guitars are a distinguished brand from China and their focus is strictly on acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. Their catalog is divided into steel and nylon-string sections, with both containing multiple series and numerous successful models. This time around, Walden introduces a baritone-scaled series of steel-stringers. Scale of both models in this series is 26-3/4" long and it`s entire 1-1/4" longer than the standard. Strings on both models come tuned in B, E, A D, F#, B. Body of B-1E is made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board on top. It has grand auditorium contour and black binding around the top. There`s no pickguard on the top and the sound hole is offset. Bridge is made of rosewood, it`s a standard one and it features black string pins. Optional electronics for this six-stringed Walden baritone include Fishman Prefix Pro system. Neck is made of mahogany for this model and it features standard C contour in the back. On it`s top Walden installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. There are no inlays to mark the frets, only the side dots. Natural color scheme is finished in Nitrocellulose satin.
