K28e is another model in Taylor`s ultra-exclusive Koa Series. It comes with the still relatively new grand orchestra body in non-cutaway variant. Innitial run of this special model will have only 100 guitars and based on the sales statistics, Taylor will decide how to proceed. However, these 100 copies will be available world wide and will be highly customizable. Back and side panels are unchangeable, they are made of genuine Hawaiian koa by Taylor`s top-of-the-scale luthiers. The default top for this amazing Koa series steel-stringer is also made of koa, but spruce alternative can be ordered. Several finish and color options are also offered for this model. Steel strings are Taylor`s primary choice for this model, though the nylon-stringed variant can be ordered. Taylor Expression system is installed within the body and it contains two magnetic pickups, a preamp and three control knobs: volume, bass and treble. Neck is attached to the body via the dovetail joint and it features a standard ebony fingerboard on top. 20 frets are found on it`s top and they`re marked with a gorgeous custom inlay. Nut width may vary, as 1-11/16" and 1/7/8" variants are available. Taylor tuners with gold plating can be replaced by Gotoh tuning machines. Bridge is the classic ebony Taylor bridge.
