Koa series is a line of acoustic-electric guitars dedicated to the fans of koa and luxurious Taylor acoustics. With the starting point set at $4,399, the Koa line is located somewhere in between the 800 series (starts at $3,399) and 900 series (starts at $4,899). The current lineup consists of six models and, quite strangely, has no dreadnought models (all nine core series have at least one). K28ce is an acoustic-electric grand orchestra guitar, available in Shaded Edgeburst and starting at $4,599. The main appointments include an all-solid body (koa back/sides/top, Florentine cutaway, ebony binding), a tropical mahogany neck (14th fret joint, Taylor profile), an ebony fingerboard (20 frets, Island Vine inlay, 1.75" bone nut, 25.5" scale), an ebony bridge, ES2 electronics, and Taylor tuners.
