700 models are characterized by the combination of Indian rosewood and Lutz spruce. They form the top echelons of Taylor catalog together with 800 and 900 models, outperformed only by a handful of limited edition models. The current 700 lineup has nine models, being among the smaller members of the standard range. All are amplified, with 714ce-N as the only nylon-string option. The single-cut GA model offers Indian rosewood back and sides, Lutz spruce top, the standard 14th fret neck joint (despite nylon-string construction), Taylor Expression 2 electronics system, and deluxe hardware. Natural Gloss is the only available color option. 41ce-N also features a mahogany neck, 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony, ebony bridge, and Taylor tuning machines. The MSRP is set at $3,099.
