Throughout the standard acoustics catalog (series 100-900), 50 designations (50/52/54/56/58) are reserved for twelve-string models. Though not as numerous as their six-stringed counterparts, the twelve-stringers play a very important role in Taylor`s main acoustic catalog. The 400 series currently has two of them, 456ce and this one, 458e. As opposed to the single-cut 456, 458e rocks a non-cutaway body. It also sports the big G.O. body, 14th fret neck joint, Taylor electronics & hardware, as well as all-solid body construction. The MSRP is set at $2,199 and the only available color is Natural. Other important features include ovangkol back & sides, spruce top, 20-fret ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge (standard Taylor contour), ES2 electronics, and Taylor tuning machines.
