300 series is a lower intermediate series in Taylor Guitars catalog. It opens the middle section of the acoustic-electric series lineup in the Taylor Guitars catalog. 100 and 200 series are introductory lines made for younger and inexperienced players. 300, 400, 500 and 600 series are considered intermediate, where 300 and 400 are considered standard series with biggest participation in overall sales figures. 500, 600 and 700 series introduce luxurious decorations and exotic materials. 700, 800 and 900 represent the exclusive part of the lineup, where 800 and 900 are the absolute pinnacle of Taylor`s achievements in the serial production. There, of course, are more luxurious and exclusive models made by Taylor and they belong to the Limited section. For summer 2013, Taylor has updated the 300 series with three models with mahogany tops, instead of regular spruce ones. 320 Dreadnought, 322 Grand Concert and 324 Grand Auditorium models are being unveiled. 324 is made of sapele back and sides with mahogany top. black binding, triple circle rosette and black pickguard decorate the top. Mahogany is also used for the neck, while the ebony plays a double part, it`s featured n both the bridge and fingerboard. TUSQ saddle and TUSQ nut are exactly 25-1/2" apart. Taylor tuners complete the specs list. Optionally, this model can be ordered with single cutaway and Taylor electronics.
