214ce-K is one of two koa models introduced into the 200 series of acoustic-electric guitars. These two models are arriving just in time to be unveiled at the NAMM show in Anaheim. Both feature laminated koa, instead of solid, due to their position in the catalog and series price policy. Other than this, both models are perfectly standard 200 series guitars. 214ce-K is a grand auditorium guitar with single cutaway and Taylor electronics. Laminated koa back and sides are covered with a solid spruce sound board. Top panel is bound in creme binding and equipped with triple circle rosette. Also, Taylor installs the series standard pickguard. High gloss finish over the natural color scheme is the main color option for this model. Bridge section is equipped with a standard ebony bridge with NuBone saddle. Taylor`s Expression System for steel-stringed guitars is installed on this model. Neck is made of sapele, with standard contour in the back and 20-fret ebony fingerboard on the top. Fingerboard is equipped with diamond inlays and 1-11/16" NuBone string nut. Die-cast tuners feature chrome plating.
