GJ72CE-BSB is an intermediate acoustic-electric guitar with jumbo-sized body and Takamine`s own electronics. This steel-stringer aims at players who like big and spacious guitar bodies with super strong projection and loads of clarity in their tone. This jumbo comes with a single-cut body made of laminated flame maple back and sides and solid spruce soundboard on the top. This is one of the most standard tonewood combinations in both the Takamine catalog and on the market. Both spruce and maple are very responsive tonewoods with clear and bright tone. With the help of the classic X bracing and huge body cavity of the classic jumbo, GJ72CE can weather every sonic storm thrown at it. This one is available in Natural Gloss and Brown Sunburst. Both are finished in gloss and both feature the white binding around the top, along with abalone rosette. Takamine`s official site lists only the TK-40D preamp in the electronics department. This reliable and sturdy preamp has volume, tone and effects controls panel installed on the side of the body. Also, it features an on-board tuner. Bridge is made of rosewood. It`s fit with a synthetic bone saddle. Maple neck is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. The MSRP for this intermediate jumbo steel-stringer is set at $799.99.
