G15 is one of starter series in Takamine`s G segment. Only the G10 ranks below. But, despite the low position, G15 models bring a surprising level of quality. Both construction and tone-wise.
GD15CE is one of two models in the series current lineup and the only dreadnought. It comes with a single-cut body equipped with a deep cutaway, standard 14th fret neck joint and conservative styling. Back and sides are made of laminated mahogany while the top is made of spruce. This gives a warm, balanced tone with pretty much equal amount of lows, mids and highs. Of course, the sustain and projection are appropriate for a dreadnought-sized guitar.
Electronics department boasts an under-saddle piezo and shoulder-mounted TP-4T preamp with a three-band EQ and tuner. 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, string-through bridge (also rosewood) and die-cast tuners wrap the list of major features.
