EG511SSC is a model from the G Series line of dreadnoughts. This is the most populous line in the G series and Dreadnoughts also dominate the Pro series catalog. EG511SSC comes with a single-cut dreadnought body made of sapele and spruce. Sapele is an African tone wood with tonal characteristics very similar to mahogany, but with a bit more treble. Grain and texture are similar to Khaya wood, so it`s sometimes mistakenly called African mahogany. Spruce adds dynamics to the mix and serves as the sound board on this model. It is equipped with multi-ply binding and single circle rosette. TP4T is the name of the preamp installed on the shoulder of this model. Bridge is made of rosewood, as is the 20-fret fingerboard. Hardware on this one is plated in gold and chrome.
