The OX kicks of as an OX shaped acoustic-electric guitar with a cutaway. It features no bindings or pickguards. It is offered in raw satin, or high gloss with charcoal black back and sides. The bridge on this model is made of composite materials and is equipped with black string pins and saddle. In the electronics department, Peavey opted for L.R. Baggs stage-pro pickup and a preamp with on-board equalizer and tuner. The neck is, as part of the one-piece body/neck construction, made of composite materials and features no heels as joint support.
