Ovation is a brand completely concentrated on the acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with modern construction and design. For the past several decades, all of their models feature composite bowl construction, instead of traditional wooden backs and sides. Unlike Martin, Washburn, Gibson, Guild and others, Ovation acoustic-electrics feature the same brand electronics. Ovation`s preamps and pickups are specially made to suit the models from the Ovation catalog and bring out the best of the composite materials/wood combination. For the fall of 2013, Ovation introduces a brand new Proto Limited series. It`s first model is LT-60. LT-60 comes with a single-cut body and deep bowl construction. Top of the body is bound in pommele sapele and is adorned with a beautiful and elegant sound hole rosette.Bridge on the LT-60 is made of ebony and it features the bone saddle. Underneath it, there`s a high quality OCP-1K pickup, controlled by the side mounted preamp (Op Pro Studio w/ XLR model). Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a classic dovetail joint and it`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. 25-1/4" scale, 10" fingerboard radius, chrome-plated hardware and combined gloss/satin finish complete the specs list.
