SS-0041GB-17 was the centerpiece of C.F. Martin`s 2017 NAMM booth. It is a Limited Edition guitar, dedicated to George Bauer, a Philadelphia luthier active around 1890-1910. Only 50 of these will be made before the production ceases.

It offers a non-cutaway 00 body (w/12th fret neck joint), standard short scale (24.9"), gold-plated hardware, and ivoroid/abalone decorations. The key construction features include Guatemalan rosewood back & sides, solid European spruce top (w/Vintage Tone System), genuine mahogany neck (modified V profile) and 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
Other important features include a solid ebony bridge, Golden Age nickel tuners, and standard X bracing pattern.
