Retro Series of acoustic-electric guitars is the newest series in the Martin Guitars catalog. It is a result of a long and hard work of Martin`s luthiers to bring the closest thing to acoustics from the golden period. And, this time, Martin luthiers have been magnificently successful. OM-28E Retro is one of the models of the Retro series and it is the only orchestra shaped guitar of the lineup. These models are heavily inspired by the prewar acoustics. This OM comes with natural color and mixed gloss and satin finish. Gold-plated hardware and grained ivoroid decorations complement the beautiful tonewoods used for this model. Body is made of east Indian rosewood back and sides, with a sound board made of solid sitka spruce. Bracing pattern is scalloped X and neck joint is a dovetail. Top is equipped with a tortoise shell pickguard. Bridge section features a standard shaped bridge made of solid ebony. It features a compensated TUSQ saddle. In the electronics department Fishman F1 Aura Plus system is installed. Select hardwood neck is made with modified low oval contour. It is finished in satin. Ebony fingerboard has 20 frets, diamond and square inlays and 1.75" wide bone nut.
