Macassar Burst
The X series is one of Martin`s most affordable and a home to a wide range of acoustic & acoustic-electric models. The current lineup is made up of more than two dozen, mostly amplified models (as a matter of fact, DX420 is the only currently active non-electric X series member). DX1AE Macassar Burst is a brand new, 2018 model. It comes with a non-cutaway body (high-pressure laminate back & sides, Sitka spruce top, teardrop-shaped pickguard, X-bracing), laminated birch neck (performing artist contour, hand-rubbed finish, 14th fret joint), 20-fret richlite fingerboard (dot inlays, 25.4" scale, 1.75" corian nut), Fishman Sonitone pickup/preamp system, richlite bridge, and enclosed tuning machines. Macassar Burst is the only available option, coming in at $849.00 (list price).
