ES31C is a model from the Dreadnought series in Jasmine catalog. Jasmine is basically Takamine`s budget-friendly sub-brand which is oriented primarily towards beginners and players in a financial struggle. Dreadnought series offers five models with both acoustic and acoustic-electric options being available. ES31C is an acoustic-electric guitar with single cutaway design. Body is made of nato wood and spruce. Nato is used for the back and sides, while the top is made of spruce. Top panel on this model is equipped with standard series binding, black plastic pickguard and triple circle rosette around the sound hole. It comes only in black with high gloss finish. Amplification is entrusted to the piezo pickup/side-mounted preamp combo. Both the belly bridge and 20-fret fingerboard are made of rosewood.
