5th Avenue Composer GT is an affordable alternative to the upscale 5th Avenue models like Kingpin and others. Composer renounces many of the fancy decorations and premium visual features in order to become as affordable, as possible and reach the widest possible audience. Fully hollow and single-cut body of this magnificent jazz box rocks the vintage styling with pride and honor, despite having a bit stripped down specs list. Canadian wild cherry is used for back, sides and the top of the body. Back and top are carved, contoured and bound in creme binding. On the top, Composer GT features a pair of "f" holes and a vintage-styled pickguard. Bridge section is made up of a TUSQ bridge in the front and a trapezoid tailpiece in the back. TUSQ bridge is fixed and so is the chrome-plated tailpiece. In their front, Godin installs one of their own active humbuckers in the neck position, leaving the bridge position vacant. Controls unit for this lone humbucker is made up of the master volume and master tone knobs. Neck is made of the silver leaf maple and has the standard glued in joint. Contour in the back corresponds with the 5th Avenue series standards. On it`s top, there is a 21-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It features dot inlays, 16" radius and 1.72" wide string nut. 24-7/8" long scale and chrome-plated tuning machines complete the specs list for the elegant, yet affordable 5th Avenue Composer GT.
