J-45 is Gibson`s best selling acoustic guitar of all time. It was introduced back in 1942 and has been in production lines ever since. Due to its longevity and wide range of use it has been nicknamed "The Workhorse" by the company.
The new J-45 features largely the same specs list as its predecessor, as well as a similar price tag (the new 45 comes in at $2,399). The non-cutaway slope-shoulder body is made of mahogany back and sides and spruce top (the classic J series combo). One-piece mahogany neck (slim taper profile) and rosewood fingerboard (also one-piece) complete this iconic steel-stringer.
Main hardware and electronics appointments include L.R. Baggs electronics (Element VTC system), Grover`s Rotomatic tuners and solid rosewood bridge (with Tusq saddle).
