Tim Armstrong Hellcat Acoustic is part of the Artist Design Series which contains signature acoustic guitars made by Fender. With the MSRP set at $449 this is one of the more affordable models in the series.
The non-cutaway concert shaped body with fourteen frets off the body is constructed of solid mahogany to and laminated mahogany back and sides. Rosewood bridge with compensated saddle has white pins with black dots. the neck is made of maple and features a standard contour. Set neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 20 medium jumbo frets, custom hellcat inlays and 1.69" wide synthetic bone string nut. Other features include: 25-1/3" scale length, chrome plated hardware, die-cast tuning machines and Fishman Isys III system with on-board tuner and volume and tone controls. It is available in natural color.

I purchased this guitar looking for a decent solid top acoustic for recording and live gigs. I was a bit skeptical based on the low price and Fenders reputation for acoustic guitars. To my pleasant surprise the tone and action of this guitar is a contender for acoustics at a much higher price point, and it was set up very well without me having to make adjustments. The preamp sounds good as well. Great looks, and is worth much more than the asking price.
