The currently active Dove PRO model is a full-sized dreadnought guitar with full-length scale (that`s 25-1/2", a 3/4 longer than what Hummingbirds feature), made for the fans of Gibson`s original Dove with slightly slimmer wallets. Since the price tag on it is at $299, it comes with a more modest selection of materials and hardware. Epiphone`s Dove PRO starts off with a non-cutaway body made of maple and spruce, and a hard maple neck. Back and the sides of the body are made of maple, while the top is solid spruce. The neck is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Amplification duties are entrusted to the tested and proven Fishman Sonitone/Sonicore duo, and they deliver far above the $300 class. Vintage rosewood bridge and Grover tuners complete the specs list.
