It`s body is made of maple back and sides with select spruce sound board on top. This combination of tonewoods gives a bright and strong tone suitable for all types of folk and traditional music. It sports a fixed rosewood bridge with trapezoid tailpiece in the back. Electronics section on this mandolin includes a piezo pickup in combination with a side-mounted preamp. Volume and tone controls are featured on the preamp. Maple neck has standard contour in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. 13-7/8" scale, vintage-styled tuners and 1-1/8" string nut complete the specs list for Tennessee A/E Mandolin.
