Cocobolo is a tonewood widely regarded as as both exotic and exclusive. It is rarely used for the entire body on a single model. However, Dean`s Cocobolo w/APHEX from the Exotica series comes with the entire body made of cocobolo. It comes with natural color with gloss finish. Top panel is bound in multi-ply binding and topped with a modern-styled rosette around the sound hole. As it is a tradition with Dean acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars, pickguard is left out of the specs list. Bridge is made of rosewood and it is equipped with regular shape for Dean acoustics. DMT I2EX preamp is paired with under-saddle piezo pickup. Neck is made of mahogany and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 20 dot-covered frets.
