CJ3V by Cort
Tobacco Burst

CJ series is a line of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with jumbo bodies and vintage styling and construction. For 2014, Cort has introduced one model into the CJ line, the fantastic CJ3V, a six-stringer that`s bound to become an instant classic. It comes with a big, spacious jumbo body with single-cut design and vintage construction. materials used for C3V`s body are flamed maple on the back and sides and spruce on the top. This combination is inherited from the original jumbos made by Gibson. The styling and decorations displayed on this model also stem from Gibson`s classic design school. There`s only one color option available for this model, the Tobacco Burst. It comes with a glossy finish, creme binding and gold-plated hardware. Rosewood bridge installed on the top is fit with a plastic saddle and a Fishman Sonicore pickup beneath it. Side-mounted Fishman Presys preamp completes the electronics unit. Mahogany neck rocks the classic 14th fret neck joint and has the series standard contour in the back. Rosewood fingerboard is fit with 20 frets and hexagonal inlays. Gold-plated die-cast tuners on the decorated headstock complete the specs list for this one.

I picked this up from my friends local guitar shop and frankly I was so blown away by the sound and sustain, I bought it right there and took her home. The sound is so well rounded and full it's better than the $2,000.00 guitars I've played and owned. I have played since I was 14 and am now 59. I have had a LOT of guitars and CORT just blows them all away. If you get a chance to compare it to nice Taylors, Martins or Washburn's don't be surprised if you pick it up instead. If blind folded you would pick this guitar every time and think it was a VERY expensive Martin and/or Taylor. No kidding and for $450-$500.00, well why would you pay more??? For a name. By-the-way. Cort makes guitars for all of those companies I just mentioned, to their specifications....so again why pay more.
