D3 is one of four 3-tier models, along with another dreadnought and two grand auditoriums. Like their more expensive stable-mates from 9, 10, and 11 tiers, "3s" come in with wooden bindings, Spanish heel neck joints, and lightweight construction.
D3 starts off with a non-cutaway dreadnought body, 14th fret Spanish heel joint (instead of a regular dovetail), 25-1/2" scale, and chrome-plated hardware. There`s only one available color option - Natural (satin finish, rosewood binding, MOP tortoise rosette). Main construction features include mahogany back & sides, solid spruce top (two-piece top, satin finish), mahogany neck (satin finish, series standard profile), and 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.6875" nut, dot inlays).
Other notable features include a solid rosewood bridge, chrome die-cast tuners, and regular X-bracing.
