C-9 model from Cordoba Guitars is situated within the Iberia series of classical guitars. This model is among the best examples how a brand can make a high quality nylon-stringer and still sell it with a reasonable price. For 2013, Cordoba has launched the C-9 Dolce variant of the already popular C-9. The thing that clearly separates these two models is the scale length. While the C-9 has the full standard scale for classical guitars, C-9 Dolce is equipped with a 7/8 scale. Translated to inches and millimeters, that`s 24-4/5", or 630 millimeters. Accordingly, the body is a bit smaller, but it does not affect the tone strength. Mahogany back and sides are accompanied by a Canadian cedar top. Top is flat and bound in gorgeous Indian rosewood binding. Bridge is a classical one and it`s made of rosewood. There are no electronics featured on this model. Neck is made of mahogany, as well and it features the classic 12th fret dovetail joint. On it`s top, Cordoba installs a 19-fret ebony fingerboard. 2.04" bone nut and flat radius complete the fingerboard. Cordoba`s gold-plated classical tuners are featured on the headstock.
