Alvarez`s Artist series offers the players a huge variety of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars, mostly steel-stringed (though a small line of nylon-stringed classics is available). Dreadnoughts, folk models, and grand auditoriums dominate the roster, though jumbo and parlor (New Yorker) models are available, as well. AD60 is a fully acoustic dreadnought guitar, coming in with a non-cutaway body, 25-1/2� scale, standard 14th fret neck joint, 21-fret fingerboard, stock hardware, and forward-shifted bracing. The MSRP for the most affordable tier-60 dread is set at $449. Alvarez offers this model in Natural (gloss finish, white binding, black pickguard) and Shadowburst (black binding, gloss finish, no pickguard). Other notable features include laminated mahogany back & sides, solid (A+ grade) Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck (satin/gloss finish), rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge (Alvarez contour), and die-cast tuning machines.
