I've been playing guitars for a long time and I wanted something that wasn't a Travel Guitar that would be small and versatile for when I'm on the move. This guitar goes on road trips, to the beach, and gets a lot of TLC in my home as well. It's a great size if you don't want to be wrapping your body around a dreadnought all of the time (which has it's benefits as well). For the price - I'm pleased with this buy. The tone is good although you get a bit of "pop" at times when playing on the G and B strings that doesn't sound particularly natural - I'm not a huge fan of that. The V neck is really interesting and can be a challenge to wrap a capo around, but in general I really like it. If you look really closely at the instrument (which I tend to do and you should too) it looks a little "laminate" and has a matte finish. With that said - if you haven't seen your fair share of guitars you can't tell the difference. Tuning hardware on the D and B strings is a little loose - it's just a craftsmanship issue - what do you expect for a guitar that looks this cool that costs only like $350? I log a lot of hours on this guitar and I suggest that if you're looking for an awesome show piece and are willing to get over the fact that you didn't buy a 100 year old guitar for $350 you will too. It's a great piece.Read full review

really nice guitar man, just learning to play and this is a beauty looks wise but more importantly, playing and music wise. Great action, changed the strings to Retro Martin strings, bought from sweetwater and they did a set up for me, GO FOR IT! You will dig it. JG

I've been into turn of the century parlors for a while now, and I got this as something that I felt ok about being exposed to the outdoors. It's a well built guitar, with all of the modern appointments (e.g. truss rod, sturdy finish, etc). It's pretty well in good shape to play out of the box. I would personally like to see the action lowered, but I play fingerstyle. Both the nut and saddle need some attention. My only other gripe is the photo used in the ad... it's not the color you're gonna get. The photo shows an aged natural top, but this appears to have some brown/red stain applied. I don't mind that too much, still keeping it. I have other parlors with honest wear from the last century. I just wish that people would fix their ads. Over all, I expect this guitar to open up to a warm tone over the next six months or so. Maybe, down the line, I'll have a look at lightening these braces. This thing is constructed like a tank.Read full review

Very sweet sounding guitar. The action is good and intonation the same. It's very small compared to what I'm used to, D-18, 28, and tripplen0 sizes, comfortable and loud when needed. I'm a satisfied customer.

Sound is amazing coming from this small body guitar. Plays so much bigger. Could not find any flaw on this, had to look much closer. Maybe it was that the finish was thin in one spot, but it’s supposed to look vintage so I don’t know. Overall an excellent buy.
