Takamine G Series Updates

Five lefties reinforce the Takamine G series.

Takamine G Series Updates

Takamine has introduced five new left-handed models into the G segment. Four six-stringers and one four-stringed bass.

Many a times the left-handed guitarists are being pushed aside in favor of their right-handed comrades. This injustice often stems from the sheer number of the right-handed guitar slingers versus the numbers in the lefty tribe. Therefore, the brands, even the biggest ones, often put too much focus on their right-handed models and introduce their novelties as right-handed guitars by default. This time around, Takamine tries to right the wrong by putting the spotlight exclusively on the lefties. Takamine is introducing five excellent left-handed models into the G segment of the catalog. Two of them are fully acoustic, two are acoustic-electric and the fifth one is a four-stringed bass. GD30LH and GD30CELH belong to the G30 series, GD51LH and GD51CELH reinforce the G50 series and GB30CELH is the name of the only four-stringer reviewed in this article.

Takamine GD30LH is the first model on the review list. It kicks off with laminated mahogany back and sides in combination with a spruce sound board. This one`s a pure acoustic with no electronics installed on, or within the body and neck. Mahogany neck is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. For the further info, check GD30LH detail page on our web site, or on the Takamine official web page.

Takamine GD30CELH is the acoustic-electric variant of the basic GD30LH. Mahogany/spruce body now features a cutaway and is fit with a high quality Takamine preamp. Rosewood bridge with a synthetic bone saddle, mahogany neck with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard and die-cast chrome tuners wrap up this fantastic dread. Takamine GD51CELH comes with rosewood back and sides in combination with a spruce sound board on top.
