Such is the case with the newly introduced Epiphone Les Paul Standard Florentine Pro. This divinely beautiful LP is an answer to the prayers of all the players out there who had dreamed of a semi-acoustic LP. Since such models made by Gibson USA and Gibson Custom can prove to be quite expensive adventures, Epiphone`s new semi-hollow Florentine cutaway LP seems like a perfect choice. It is based upon the Epiphone`s version of the Les Paul Standard, which includes a flat maple top and solid mahogany back. Also, this model has taken over the decorations and aesthetic appeal of the regular Standard. Electronics of the regular Standard are also included. Epiphone offers this one in a wide range of color options. Six of them are available. Faded Cherry Burst, Vintage Sunburst, Iced Tea, Trans Black and Honey Burst come with gorgeous perimeter burst paint jobs with nitrocellulose gloss finish, while the Wine Red is the only non-burst color variant. All of them are equipped with nickel-plated hardware. The MSRP for this limited edition LP is set at $999.
Epiphone Les Paul Standard Florentine Pro comes with a semi-hollow body made of mahogany back and sides with a beautifully carved flamed maple top. Standard two-piece bridge unit is featured on the top. In it`s front, two Burstbucker pickups with a modern controls unit are installed. Both Burstbucker 3 in the bridge and Burstbucker 2 in the neck position can be split through push/pull switches. Neck, which is also made of mahogany, is fit with a 1960s slim taper D profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top.
