NAMM 2015: Schecter Goes Platinum!

Schecter Guitar Research introduces the heavyweight Platinum series.

NAMM 2015: Schecter Goes Platinum!

With satin-finished colors, full 24-fret fingerboards, fixed bridges and beastly EMG 57/66 pickups, Platinum models aim at serious-minded and dedicated metalheads.

Brand new seven-piece Platinum series is made for contemporary metal players who like 24-fret fingerboards stretched over the standard 25-1/2 scales, simple and functional construction, and no-nonsense styling. EMG`s 57 in the bridge and 66 in the neck are mandatory features and standard issue weaponry for these stealthy metal warriors. C-1, Solo-II, new S-II and V models can be found in the series initial lineup introduced at this year`s NAMM. Hopefully, this killer range thrives and expands in the years to come. But, for now, the magnificent seven are: C-1 Platinum, C-1 Platinum Left Handed, Solo-II Platinum, Solo-II Platinum Left Handed, S-II Platinum, S-II Platinum Left Handed and V-1 Platinum.

Being the alpha and omega of the Schecter catalog, C models are featured in the Platinum`s first lineup. Schecter C-1 Platinum is a no-compromise, no-nonsense metal guitar with a mahogany body, set maple neck, fixed bridge, 24-fret ebony fingerboard and mighty EMG 57/66 pickups combo. Along with the C-1 Platinum, Schecter also introduces the C-1 Platinum Left Handed model. Basically the same, these two are equipped with the mostly identical specs and options lists (the lefty model only lacks the Satin Silver color scheme in its palette). Second generation of Solo concept is one of the constituents of the Platinum range. Schecter Solo-II Platinum follows the series standards with stealthy styling, all-mahogany body, set maple neck, 24-fret ebony fingerboard, Schecter tuners and EMG`s 57 and 66 pickups. Solos also have two-piece bridges. To see and read more on this, head over to the Solo-II Platinum Left Handed detail page on our site or on Schecter Guitar Research official web page.

The new S-II concept is also thrown into the Platinum lineup, with Schecter S-II Platinum representing the right-hand variant of the S-II Platinum pair. Needless to say, all-mahogany body, fixed bridge, EMG`s 57/66 power plant and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard over a maple neck make up the core of this peppered up double-cut.
