A walkthrough of Epiphones 2015 novelties.

NAMM 2015: Epiphone Spring 2015 Updates

With five new models, Epiphone targets a wide scope of players offering classy design, and supreme level of build and tone quality.

As one of the oldest and most popular guitar brands around, Epiphone has a reputation to maintain. A reputation of a high quality brand with reasonable price policy. Sometimes it can be a tricky thing to do, but Epiphone has been doing it for so long that it seems effortless. Also, throughout its history, Epiphone`s built everything from banjos and mandolins to heavy rocking axes. This diversity inherent to Epiphone name is quite obvious in the new Spring 2015 lineup, despite it having only a five-piece roster. Limited Edition Gary Clark Jr. “Blak & Blu” Casino, Limited Edition Tommy Thayer "White Lightning" Signature Les Paul Outfit and Blueshawk Deluxe make up the electric side of the lineup. On the acoustic side, there are only two models – the acoustic-electric Masterbilt AJ-45ME and the completely acoustic Dobro Hound Dog M-14 Metalbody resonator guitar.

Model review section of this article starts off with the surreally beautiful Limited Edition Gary Clark Jr. “Blak & Blu” Casino. It is a fully hollow Casino double-cut with Gibson USA pickups (P-90s), maple/birch 5-ply laminated body and mahogany neck. Bigsby and hardtail bridge options are available.
